I really didn't need another highlighter in my collection...

However, I was elated when I was given an opportunity to try the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter. Right away, I loved the sleek and minimal appearance of the packaging. I couldn't wait to try it!

Let's begin by mentioning these Dew Drops are formulated with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to hydrate the skin.
Coconut alkanes: helps with longer wear
Coconut milk: extremely hydrates
Coconut water: essential electrolytes
Coconut polysaccharides: conditions
Coconut fragrance: light scent

Made without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates.

Right away, I love the sleek design of the packaging it's very minimal and luxurious feeling. The pump on the bottle is sturdy and does not distribute messily. The smell is light - a natural coconut aroma, rather than an artificial floral perfume. Doing a swatch on my arm, I notice the gel is creamy, highly pigmented, and just slightly peachy - which is perfect on my skin tone. It's very natural looking, not a glitter bomb at all.

A little bit will definitely go a long way, and I already can tell this bottle will last for some time. Just a few dabs around my face over my foundation (brow line, bridge of nose, Cupid's bow) gives a natural, radiant glow. I'd call it a rose gold on me, but everyone will be different.
Implementing these dew drops into my makeup routine was exciting because the pigment can be tempered. I mixed a few drops with my foundation to have a dewy glow all over my face. Work quickly when it's wet, because it's harder to blend when it dries. I think using with foundation definitely makes blending better. I can also imagine adding a few Dew Drops to my primer or moisturizer on light makeup days, beach days, or just when I need a minimal sheen.

4.5 out of 5

I love the pigmentation, but I wish the gel blended better on its own.
