LOBSTER TAILS w/ GARLIC PARSLEY BUTTER

I recommend everyone treat themselves to lobster every once and awhile.

It’s a delectable meal to have at a restaurant, but it is quite simple to prepare at home. I like to broil mine. It’s a quick method and I love how the char imparts more flavor onto the delicate meat.

 


This is a main dish you can make to impress just about anyone! A side of asparagus, or a surf and turf would be quite ideal.

 

lobster tails w/ garlic parsley butter

serves 2-4, 15 mins prep + 15 mins cook time


INGREDIENTS

2-4 fresh lobster tails

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons parsley, roughly chopped

4 cloves of garlic, minced

lemon, quartered

sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

 

METHOD

Turn your broiler on to a low setting, if you have that option. If not, you will just have to keep an eye on the lobster so it doesn’t over cook.

Prep the lobster tails by slicing or cutting right down the middle.

Tear away some of the shell to expose some of the meat. Gently peel the bottom of the flesh from the tail and prop it up so more of it is exposed.

Melt the butter to a soft consistency and add the garlic and parsley.

Brush the lobster tails with the half of the herb butter and place the on a foil lined baking dish.

Place in broiler for about 10 minutes. Remove and brush with the remaining herb butter.

Return the lobster to the broiler for 3-5 more minutes, watching so they don’t get too charred or burnt.

Remove and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately with lemon slices.
